Terms of Service

Paving Planner is a web application for paving contractors: a 2D editor for drawing paved areas, automatic material take-off (paving blocks, sub-base layers, kerbs, pallets) and client quotes exported as PDF. A quote can be shared with your client through a public link (section 12), and quotes priced in euro also carry a SEPA payment QR code in the PDF. AI features can convert a photo of a hand-drawn sketch into an editable drawing (section 9).

The service is offered in a free and in paid versions (section 4). We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that any particular feature will be kept.

Registration requires your first and last name, a phone number, an email address and a password; you can also sign up with Google. The phone number must be unique — the same number cannot sit on two accounts at once. This prevents one person from opening several free accounts; for the same reason we record the sign-up IP address and an anonymous card fingerprint.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for all activity and content under your account. We may block an account that abuses the service or breaches these terms or the law.

What you get depends on the plan. Prices are per workspace in euro; the annual price equals eleven monthly payments, so one month a year is free. English plan names below correspond to ŠTART, HOBBY, MAJSTER, PARTIA and FIRMA in the Slovak original.

A watermarked PDF carries a discreet Paving Planner mark; from SOLO up the export is clean and shows only your own logo and details. The price list in force at the time of your order applies and is always published on the website and in account settings.

Payments are processed by Stripe as our payment gateway. We never see or store your card number — the whole payment happens at Stripe. From Stripe we only receive the card brand, its last four digits and an anonymous card fingerprint.

Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each paid period until you cancel (section 8).

An account can be billed in euro (EUR), Czech koruna (CZK), Polish zloty (PLN), Hungarian forint (HUF) or US dollar (USD). You pick the currency in settings and the subscription is charged in the currency of the account.

Exchange rate clause. Prices in currencies other than euro are a conversion of the euro price list at a fixed rate that we review periodically. If exchange rates move significantly, prices in those currencies may change. Any price change is announced at least 30 days in advance; if you disagree, you can cancel before it takes effect.

Every new account starts with a 14-day trial of the SOLO plan — full features, no payment card required.

The trial does not renew and never turns into a paid subscription by itself. After 14 days the account moves to the free START plan: your data stays, but START limits apply. You can pick a paid plan at any time, during the trial or after it.

Upgrading takes effect immediately. The full price of the new plan is charged and a new subscription period starts on the day of the change. The unused remainder of your previous, cheaper plan is not refunded and is not credited against the new plan — so upgrading mid-period loses whatever you had left, and it is cheaper to upgrade near the end of a period.

Downgrading takes effect only at the end of the paid period. Until then you keep the limits of the original plan and nothing is refunded.

You can cancel at any time in settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period — until then you keep full access, after which the account falls back to the free START plan and your data remains stored. Cancelling a subscription is not the same as deleting the account; you delete the account and its data separately (section 15).

Cancelling takes the same number of steps as subscribing: open Settings, go to Subscription and click Cancel subscription. No phone call, no email, no form to fill in.

When cancelling we ask an optional question about why you are leaving, and we may offer you a discount. You have to accept neither; cancelling depends on neither.

Beyond the statutory consumer rights in section 17, subscription fees already paid are not refunded, not even pro rata.

If you signed up through a sales partner's link or code, we pay them a commission for you. It makes no difference to what you pay, because the commission comes out of our margin. What the partner sees about you is set out in the privacy policy, and the terms on the partner's side are in the partner terms.

The service can redraw a photo of a hand sketch into an editable drawing. To do that we send the photo to an AI provider, a third party; details are in our Privacy Policy.

The number of redraws is capped by plan: START 1 for the entire lifetime of the account, HOBBY 1 per month, SOLO 3 per month, CREW 15 per month and COMPANY 75 per month. Monthly quotas do not roll over to the next month.

On top of plan quotas there is a daily cap for the whole service that protects us from runaway cost. Once it is reached, AI redraw is temporarily unavailable for everyone and you can try again the next day; this does not entitle you to compensation.

AI output is an estimate, not a measurement. Always check and correct dimensions, shapes and counts after a redraw — the content of a quote is your responsibility (section 14).

On the CREW and COMPANY plans you can buy a one-off pack of ten extra AI redraws. It comes in two variants: €10 valid for 30 days, or €20 valid for 365 days (prices in euro; an account in another currency uses that currency's price list).

Credits are used only after the monthly plan quota is exhausted, always starting from the oldest pack. Unused credits expire when the pack's validity ends — they are not refunded in money and the validity is not extended. Buy a pack according to how quickly you will actually use it.

Your content lives in a workspace. On the CREW (up to 3 people) and COMPANY (up to 10 people) plans you can invite colleagues by email; the other plans are for a single user.

Roles decide what a member may do: owner manages everything including the subscription, admin manages the team and may delete, estimator creates projects, areas and quotes, and viewer has read-only access.

Team members see the data of the whole workspace, including client contacts. The workspace owner is responsible for who is invited and when their access is removed — including having a lawful basis for exposing client personal data to those members. If you move to a plan with a smaller team, access beyond the limit ends.

You can share a quote with your client through a public link containing a random token. The link is not password protected and requires no sign-in: anyone who has the link sees the whole quote, including the client's name and details and all amounts. Send it only to the person it is meant for.

You can revoke the link or generate a new one at any time; the previous link then stops working.

With one click you can create a sample project with a finished area and quote to see how the service works. It does not count towards your plan limits and you can delete it whenever you like. Everything in it is made up — not a real client and not binding prices.

Projects, drawings, price lists and quotes you create remain yours; we use them only to run the service. You are responsible for the correctness of quotes sent to your customers — prices, measurements, VAT rates and invoice details. The service's calculations are decision support, not a binding budget or tax advice. The application, its design and code remain the operator's intellectual property.

The service is provided "as is". We may change it, add to it or discontinue parts of it. You can delete your account at any time; deleting it deletes your data including uploaded files. Export your quotes to PDF before you stop using the service — once deleted we cannot restore them.

To the extent Slovak law allows, we are not liable for lost profit or for indirect or consequential damage arising from use of the service. Liability is not excluded where it cannot be excluded by law — in particular for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and in relation to consumer rights.

If you use the service as a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of concluding it.

Registration itself is free and starts with a non-binding trial (section 6) — until you order a paid plan it creates no financial obligation.

By ordering a paid plan you ask us to make the paid version available immediately and give your express consent to that. If you withdraw within the 14-day period after we have started providing the paid version, you pay a proportionate part of the price for the period up to withdrawal. The right of withdrawal lapses to the extent set out in Slovak Act No. 108/2024 Coll. on consumer protection. Outside these statutory cases, fees already paid are not refunded (section 8).

Disputes may also be resolved out of court through the Slovak Trade Inspection (soi.sk) or the EU online dispute resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).

These terms are governed by the law of the Slovak Republic. We may amend them; we announce material changes in the application in advance, and price changes follow the notice period in section 5. If a provision turns out to be invalid, the rest stays in force. See also our Privacy Policy.
